There are still a couple of seats available for the spring SABOR learning community class. If you are still hanging onto an application, please get it to the main FLL office in KIDD 210 as quickly as you can so that all selected participants can enroll for the planning retreat that we’ll be holding in January.
Applications are now available for the spring, 2008 learning community class for advanced Spanish students. This year the class theme will be about the cultural, economic, social, and political dimensions of food. The official title of the course is “SABOR,” which stands for Sustento, Agricultura, Biodiversidad, Orígenes, Resistencia.
Students who wish to participate in the class need strong enough Spanish skills to understand authentic literature and film and good writing ability. This class is a full academic load of 15 credits.
Applications are available from Profs. Chavarría, Rivera-Mills, and Trujillo. They are due in the main office on December 7th.
